What makes a good wedding photographer? Is it knowing
how to use your camera? Is it being able to pose your subject? Is it understanding light and it's effects on photography
and the photographic subject? On the surface, I would have
to say yes to all these questions and more. What makes a good
picture is emotion, mood or state of mind -- be it happiness,
sadness, weariness, anger, anxiety, desire, surprise, love,
energy or serenity, to name a few. Insure that your camera
is working properly and you have the right light and then
look for the inspiration.
Red Door Digital Imaging strives
not just to take pictures, but rather to capture the emotions
and little moments that move us. This takes not only know
how, but intuition. The know how has come to me slowly,
over time and is a work in progress. As a wedding photographer,
I am learning how to feel with my eyes. If I feel that a
wedding photograph is not at least good, it will be deleted. Whenever
I am able to combine the technical know how with my intuitive
powers and influence the mood of the session or event in
a positive manner, I will achieve the spectacular photograph.
